EastEnders fans convinced moment in Friday’s episode ‘confirmed’ it’s Linda who drowns in 35th anniversary boat disaster – The Sun

EASTENDERS fans are convinced that a moment in Friday’s episode has confirmed that it will be Linda Carter who drowns in the 35th anniversary boat disaster.

During the episode Jean told Daniel “you could catch your death” to which he replied "we all catch it eventually".

An eagle-eyed viewer spotted that the camera then panned to Linda in the background, which fans think could be a sign of what is to come.

One person wrote: “I think that foreshadowed that she could die on the boat.”

While another added: “I predict she'll be the one. There's just so much foreshadowing.”

Someone else noticed there had been a couple of references to drowning when Linda has been around in recent episodes.

A viewer commented: “Another one — with Sharon when she's going on about couples, marriages and the Vic — "he drowned her in the bath".”

In another episode Shirley put Linda in the bath and sprayed her with cold water to try and sober her up.

Landlady Linda is battling alcoholism in the Square, with her reliance on the bottle ripping her family apart.

While we know that Linda will end up in the Thames after something goes wrong aboard a party boat, but the actress who plays her – Kellie Bright – has hinted she won’t be the one who dies.

Speaking on This Morning last Kellie said: "It's the most epic week I've been involved in on the show.

"I can tell you it centres around a party on a boat on the Thames, and I get wet."

When Phil suggested it won't be Linda who dies because she's still talking about the show, Kellie coyly smiled and half-heartedly said: "It might be."

Last month The Sun exclusively revealed a major character will be killed off in the special episode.

Someone will drown in the Thames after falling from a party boat.

Queen Vic landlords Mick and Linda throw the bash after winning a contest.

Other thought to be at risk include Mick, played by Danny Dyer, and veterans Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean).
