Emmerdale murder sealed as fans work out Cain Dingle kidnap plot

Emmerdale: Craig gets arrested

Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) had a heart-to-heart with Sam Dingle (James Hooton) on Wednesday’s instalment of Emmerdale about Lydia Dingle’s (Karen Blick) harrowing rape ordeal.

She was raped in recent months by her childhood friend Craig Reed (Ben Addis) and kept the trauma to herself for weeks on end before she was finally ready to tell Sam and her loved ones.

Sam was horrified to learn about what happened and has been trying to support his wife who is clearly struggling to process everything.

During the latest episode of Emmerdale, Cain told Sam: “We can sort this…”

When Sam asked Cain what he meant, the hard man replied: “Well, there is the law and there is the Dingle law. Always has been.”

Sam replied: “Make him pay? Cain, Lydia said she definitely doesn’t want anything like that.”

Cain replied: “She’s in no state to see what it’s doing to you.”

Sam reminded Cain he narrowly missed out on being sent to prison last year after taking the fall for his 10-year-old son murdering Al Chapman (Michael Wildman).

Cain told Sam: “This is not a feud, this is different. Look, I get it. But if it is what you want, I can sort it, you just have to give me the word.”

Viewers rallied to X, formerly known as Twitter, with their theories about Craig’s fate.

One viewer penned: “Yes Cain and Will to kidnap Craig #Emmerdale.”

Michael shared: “Cain will kidnap Craig and lock him in his boot and torture him.”

Garry wrote: “’Just say the word’, Cain’s going to kill Craig. #Emmerdale.”

However, another user said: “Cain learnt nothing from what happened with Al, I know he wants to help Sam but he is not going the right way about it.”

Eli added: “Has Cain not learnt his lesson after going after Gordon? Also, this isn’t about Sam and his feelings.”

Will Cain end up killing and kidnapping Craig in upcoming scenes on the serial drama?
