Emmerdale's Laurel Thomas in danger as she discovers killer truth about Amit Sharma | The Sun

LAUREL Thomas could be set to find herself in grave danger in Emmerdale in upcoming scenes.

The concerned mother will find herself coming under the target of the villainous Amit Sharma on the ITV soap.

Lauren and partner Jai, Amit's biological son, have seemingly shunned him from their family and day-to-day lives over his 'homophobia'.

Amit is the father to gay son, Suni, but Lauren and Jai, who also have a gay son, Arthur, were left furious to discover Amit had attacked Suni's boyfriend Nicky in a violent homophobic rage.

Nicky was left battered following the attack and was forced to tell Laurel and Jai it was because Amit disapproved of his romance with Suni.

Despite Amit attempting to plead to Lauren and Jai that he is not homophobic, they have remained uninterested and distanced themselves from him for good.

However, what they don't know is that it wasn't a homophobic attack at all.

Amit has no issues with Suni and his sexuality – he attacked Nicky upon realising he was aware of his 'killer' secret.

Nicky found out the truth that Amit had been present when Rishi died and suspicion arose whether or not he had a hand in his 'fall'.

Realising that Laurel and Jai must know he is not homophobic in order to get back into the family fold, he begs Suni to tell them to give him another chance.

As Suni does so, Laurel's suspicion arises as to why Suni is so unbothered by the apparent homophobia.

Seeking to know the truth, Laurel goes to Nicky in search of what really went down during their scuffle.

Unbeknownst to them, Amit is watching on from afar and realises that Laurel is hellbent on finding out the truth.

Amit fears that Nicky will tell all to Laurel and he cannot risk Jai finding out the truth about Rishi.

He becomes a desperate man to keep the truth hidden and it leads to him taking matters into his own hands.

But just exactly what will he do?

Will Laurel find herself in more trouble than ever?
