Emmerdale's Lucy Pargeter and Dominic Brunt pictured back on set during lockdown

Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter and Dominic Brunt have been spotted returning to filming for the first time during lockdown.

It was recently confirmed that the team has returned and produced a number of episodes, while following all the guidance in place by the government.

And Lucy and Dominic – who play Chas Dingle and Paddy Kirk – were pictured making their way into ITV studios, alongside their co-stars and a string of staff.

There were signs placed around the entrance, instructing people to keep a two-metre distance from one another, as well as a cast member kitted out in PPE.

Next week will be the last week of previously filmed material for the soap, but bosses have been able to produce a number of pared back episodes.

This means we’ll be able to see how our favourite characters are coping in lockdown.

Mark Charnock (Marlon Dingle) filmed an episode alongside Michael Wildman and Aaron Anthony (aka Al and Ellis Chapman).

And he raved about how great it was being back on set for the first time in months.

‘Loved being back filming a fantastic @Emmerdale episode yesterday with #MichaelWildman, @aaron_ants & the best crew in the world’, he shared on Twitter.

‘Hats off to mighty director @ianbevitt for his brilliance. The team’s done a truly jaw-dropping job of keeping everyone safe. Blimey, but I’ve missed it!’

Other episodes will focus on Aaron and Cain Dingle (Danny Miller and Jeff Hordley), Mandy Dingle and Vinny Ashworth (Lisa Riley and Bradley Johnson), Sam and Lydia Dingle (James Hooton and Karen Blick).

The remaining two editions explore lockdown life with Chas and Paddy, and Nicola and Jimmy King (Nicola Wheeler and Nick Miles).

ITV will alter the transmission pattern to two episodes from week beginning 8 June in order to stay on air.

And we can’t wait to catch up with them all.
