Geordie Shore’s Ricci Guarnaccio swaps TV for music as he lands huge record deal

Geordie Shore star Ricci Guarnaccio has bagged himself a multiple track record deal.

The former MTV bed-hopper, 34, is hoping to shake of his reality TV tag in favour of a successful mainstream music career.

Ricci first appeared on Geordie Shore in 2012's series two before bowing out after series 5.

In 2014 he went on to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house alongside Hollywood actor Gary Busey and Strictly professional James Jordan.

Speaking about his new career, Ricci told Daily Star: "Music has always been such a passion for me, dedicating the last three years to the craft has been such a blessing.

"There is no better feeling than creating my own sounds and then seeing a full dance floor rip it up!"

He continued: "Going from one of the biggest TV shows in the world to signing a multiple track record deal with Love & Other records is the best feeling in the world.

"That being said I’ve put in a hell of a lot of hard work and it’s finally coming to fruition but I’m just really excited for everyone to hear my music and to play to people around the world.

"I’m ecstatic… they really are the best in the business!"

The former Celebrity Big Brother star's first released Ride With Me was co-produced with UK DJ and producer Josh Goodwill, and features vocals from multi-selling platinum Aussie artist Emily Williams.

Ricci recently revealed he had planned to relocate to Australia full time before the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic took hold.

The TV star, who used to be to engaged to his MTV co-star Vicky Pattison, said in April: "It's knackered up everything, obviously. But thank God I didn't come out any earlier, otherwise everything would be completely and utterly ruined."

He had hoped to move Down Under in the Autumn but the pandemic had other ideas.

He continued to Mail Online: "I've been trying to keep positive and put out positive posts on Instagram. It's all about mindset.

"I'm at a good time in my life. I'm 34 in September but I feel like I'm 21."
