‘Get him out’ rant furious I’m A Celeb fans as they ‘work out’ Nigel Farage’s ‘secret tactics’ to ‘set campmate up’ | The Sun
I'M A Celebrity fans have been left fuming that Nigel Farage "set up" Sam Thompson after they clashed over some burnt rice.
Nigel, 59, took on the role as sous chef by camp leader Danielle Harold, while Sam, 31, lead the camp kitchen as head cook.
As they prepared dinner, Nigel told Sam: "I've put the rice on and it's reducing slowly. There's enough water in there for the moment."
The former Made in Chelsea star replied: "I can sort of chill," before Nigel reassured him: "That should be fine for a few minutes."
Later in the Bush Telegraph Nigel said: "Everybody was asleep. I thought, 'Well look, we've got to get the rice on'.
"So I put the rice on, the water's reducing in the rice and soon it's going to be done."

Sam later woke up to the smell of burning rice and said: "Why does this smell like it's burning?"
He then headed to the Bush Telegraph and said: "I don't know if I've burnt the rice. I don't know who has burnt the rice."
It didn't take long before Nigel to shift the blame onto Sam.
The politician said: "Sam, I did say to you it was reducing. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. He's ruined the rice."

Sam then replied: "I thought you had it," to which Nigel fired back: "I said to you, it's reducing."
In true Sam fashion, the Chelsea lad tried to turn a bad situation into a good one and said: "It'll do. It tastes like burnt popcorn."
Boxer Tony Bellew added: "You had one job Sam. You're head chef. You fell asleep on the job."
Nigel then replied: "To be fair, he has taken full responsibility."
But many fans thought Nigel had unfairly thrown Sam under the bus.
One wrote: "Nigel Farage totally set Sam up. OK it annoys him that Sam’s a bit lazy and sleep rather than do his chef job. But no need to be passive aggressive about it. He could’ve just said Cook the rice Sam. Not teach him a lesson."
A second commented: "Nigel definitely intended to sabotage Sam as a ploy to win and be popular. So glad Tony saw through the bs unlike a lot of the British public who vote for him."
A third echoed: "Rice gate: Sam was right. Nigel was wrong. Nigel made it up about telling him to add water. No such thing was said. Get Nigel out, enough is enough sorry…"

It comes after EastEnders star Danielle Harold became the fifth celebrity to be evicted from camp.
