GOOD Morning Britain suffered a technical blunder which forced its reporter to take matters into his own hands.

In an unusual step to get on air, news correspondent Nick Dixon used his iPhone 15 to broadcast.

It's after his usual camera feed that linked back to the London studio went down moments before Nick's report.

He was reporting live outside Brighton train station on the upcoming rail strikes.

Nick wrote on Twitter: "Last minute technical glitch just before 6am so we had to switch to the phone for our first broadcast.

"In this case we used iPhone 15 + Boya wired mic."

Nick reported that rail passengers will face another wave of cancellations and disruptions over the next week.

"Thousands of members of the train drivers' union began an overtime ban today", he said.

"It's going to be followed by a series of strikes from tomorrow in the long-running pay dispute," Nick continued.

Thousands of London Underground workers are also set to walk out.
