GOGGLEBOX fans are anxious to know if their favourite show will stay on the air.

The Channel 4 favourite, which films the reactions of ordinary people in their living rooms as they watch television, has been thrilling viewers since its launch in 2013.

How will Gogglebox work in coronavirus lockdown?

The show must go on, and that is no different for Channel 4's Gogglebox.

Producers have revealed they WILL still be putting out the show, despite the UK being in lockdown.

So, instead rigged cameras will now be used to prevent camera crews from having to go into the homes of the show's stars.

As they will be fixed in one place, it will means there's no need for any individuals to have contact with the families.

What have Channel 4 said about Gogglebox?

Channel 4 have released a statement.

Director of Programming, told Digital Spy: "The coronavirus outbreak is an enormous creative challenge for all broadcasters.

"Though it is having a profound impact on getting some of our productions onto screen, it’s also a time when public service broadcasters like Channel 4 can step up and help people navigate through the extraordinary challenges we all now face."

When is Gogglebox next on TV?

Series 15 of the hit series only kicked off on March 13, 2020, so this new plan will allow the show to be aired, as usual, every Friday at 9pm.

This means the show is on TONIGHT (March 27, 2020) at 9pm on Channel 4.

The show features a range of characters and relationships, from couples, to best mates and families.

It first aired in 2013 and has in that time also shown charity and celebrity specials.
