I’m A Celeb’s Ant and Dec snubbed Sam Thompson months before his jungle debut
I’m A Celebrity star Sam Thompson found himself brutally snubbed by Ant and Dec – just months before he headed onto the show.
The reality star is one of many famous faces on the new series of the ITV programme. Sam has joined the likes of Danielle Harold, Nigel Farage and Josie Gibson to rough it up in the Aussie jungle for the next few weeks.
But Sam, who shot to fame on Made In Chelsea, had a rather cringe encounter with I’m A Celeb hosts Ant and Dec, two months before his jungle stint. And the whole thing was recorded on film.

Earlier this year, Sam was covering the National Television Awards red carpet with pal and fellow podcast host Pete Wicks. Seeing Ant and Dec on the carpet, Sam tried to secure an interview with the Geordie duo.
But things didn’t go quite as planned as Sam was turned down by their publicist. During the uncomfortable and awkward exchange, Sam was persistent to try and get them to chat.
To make things worse, Sam confused Dec for Ant. In a video shared by Pete on the Staying Relevant TikTok account, Sam rushed over to Ant and said: “You'd be amazing to interview for like five seconds if that's OK.”
The TV presenters' publicist then stood in front of Ant and told Sam there “wasn't time”. Ant then shook Sam’s hand before leaving – but Sam mistook it for a signal that he wanted to chat to him.
Sam said: "Oh, good man! Thank you sir!" But as Ant retreated back, Sam then quipped: "Oh… you're saying 'hi'. I really appreciate that. Thanks very much.”
Ant then tried to make his escape while Sam shouted down at him: “We've always wanted to be you! We've always wanted to be you!"

Sam made his grand debut on the ITV show as he joined three of his co-stars on Sunday night's launch show (November 19). In the episode, he was paired with EastEnders star Danielle Harold, First Dates maitre d' Fred Sirieix and food critic Grace Dent on a skyscraper.
As Sam met his fellow campmates as they joined him on the top of the skyscraper, Thompson was left shocked. When he saw each contest join him, he gave both a tight hug to embrace and welcome them.
Sam, Grace, Fred and Danielle then had to walk across a boardwalk hanging off the skyscraper to win a meal for camp. Thompson was left straddling the walkway as he edged out to collect his star, as winds picked up making it ever more treacherous. After completing the challenge, all four campmates were able to make their way into the jungle, where they are currently surviving for the next three weeks.
