Janette Manrara ‘starts a domestic’ as Ellie and Vito ‘argue’ amid romance rumours

Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola's bickering on Strictly: It Takes Two left host Janette Manrara fearing she'd "started a domestic" in a new episode of the spin-off show.

Soap star Ellie, 22, and Strictly Come Dancing pro Vito, 31, appeared on It Takes Two on Thursday, 7 December, where they spoke to Janette, 40, about making it to the semi-final and their upcoming performances.

Vito's unusual outfit choice didn't go unnoticed by Janette, with the dance sporting a shirt and blazer with a pair of shorts, despite the freezing temperatures.

"I was gonna wear mine, but I'm full of bruises," Ellie said as Janette questioned Vito's shorts.

Vito then explained that he and Ellie had planned to match and both wear shorts to It Takes Two, but Ellie didn't go through with the plan.

The duo proceeded to bicker, with Janette jokingly holding her head and saying: "Oh I've started a domestic. Alright, alright."

Janette went on to accuse Vito of being "jealous" of Ellie dancing with another man in last week's show, as rumours of romance between the Strictly stars continue to circulate.

Ellie and Vito have grown extremely close on the show, and while neither star have ever publicly revealed if sparks have flown between them, both stars have shared complimentary and affectionate words of support to each other both on air and on social media.

However, Strictly host Tess Daly appeared to shoot down rumours of a romance between Ellie and Vito as she likened them to siblings during an appearance on It Takes Two.

The surprising bombshell came during Wednesday 6 December’s edition of the show, when Tess was joined by her partner in crime, Claudia Winkleman for a sit down chat with Fleur East about their thoughts on the upcoming final, which is now just two weeks away.

“They genuinely are just like a family, aren’t they? Ellie and Vito are like brother and sister, Bobby and Dianne and Annabel and Johannes have got this — they’re going to be best friends forever," Tess said.

Claudia also weighed in on Ellie and Vito’s connection as she told Fleur that: “I think with Ellie it’s her confidence. That’s sort of magic to watch. Do you remember when we first came?”

Hinting at what fans can expect this weekend as the pair take on the challenge of a couple’s choice dance, Claudia then added: “I think it’s going to be tremendous. His attention to detail, their relationship, her musicality. They’re going to fly.”
