Loose Women fans were left baffled when they found out their favourite daytime show had been cut short on Thursday (November 17).

The all-female ITV panel show normally airs every weekday from 12:30am for an hour, where hosts like Kaye Adams and Judi Love discuss and debate the latest news.

But the programme was pushed back by 15 minutes with a reduced runtime so that ITV News could cover the annual Autumn Budget, where Chancellor Dominic Raab unveiled the government's latest financial plans.

It was the first budget to be announced since Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister, following the chaos that ensued from former PM Liz Truss' mini-budget.

However, some ITV viewers were left wondering if Loose Women was airing at all on Thursday and took to Twitter to air their confusion during the budget.

One puzzled fan asked: "So is #LooseWomen on today or what?", whilst another echoed: "Will Loose Women still be on ?"

A third commented: "Oh it's on today" after the show finally returned to screens.

It came after This Morning was pulled off air during the schedule switch – wrapping up early at 11.15am so that ITV News could broadcast the special.

But to the relief of viewers, Loose Women aired with the likes of Kaye Adams, Judi, Jane Moore at the helm with Corrie star Stephanie Beacham as a guest.

Stephanie recalled an embarrassing moment on stage where she had to kiss a co-star and 'ended up with his moustache'.

Also on the show was Tipping Point star and GMB host Ben Shephard who discussed his new book, Humble Heroes, which is a collection of real life stories of people doing incredible things.

It comes just days after Loose Women panelist Janet Street-Porter revealed she would have "physically assaulted" Matt Hancock if she'd been in the I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle.

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12:30 until 13:30.
