Lucie has flip-flopped in Love Island more quickly than most of the other contestants on the sun-soaked ITV2 reality series.
The 21-year-old Cornish surfer initially coupled up with Joe Garratt in the first week, and the pair seemed destined for success as they had their eyes on the £50,000 prize.
Yet Joe began to draw suspicions about his beau after she started to spend a lot of time with her new best friend Tommy in the villa.
When Joe was brutally voted out by the viewing public, Lucie was almost inconsolable at first, but that quickly changed when the contestant professed she still has deep feelings for Tommy.
Viewers questioned straight away how honest Lucie was being on the show, but she began mingling with the girls a lot more and seemed to be keen to give true love another shot.
When the girls were swept out of the villa and taken to Casa Amor next door, Lucie then found herself in another love triangle as she faced attentions from two boys – Stevie and George.
After a flirty few days and two very different kisses, Lucie decided she wanted to make a go of things with George and recoupled with him.
Fans were left puzzled when Tommy appeared to show his jealousy over Lucie’s decision, but it could have just been the boxer’s nerves before Molly-Mae walked back through the door.
And when Tommy and Molly shared a truly poignant moment, Lucie smiled at her friend and cried.
But things changed tonight, as Lucie unexpectedly told Tommy she still couldn’t shut off her feelings for him.
I just feel stupid because at the start I don’t know why I didn’t choose you
Is Lucie actually playing a game and repeatedly going after Tommy because she senses he might be the favourite in the villa?
It seems he and Molly-Mae are the strongest couple now, and could even be headed for the jackpot, but does the surfer believe she still has a chance to swipe Tommy from under the social media influencer and take him for herself to be crowned the winners of Love Island 2019?
At the fire pit tonight, Lucie shared: “I do want to get to know George but you can’t really change how you feel.
“I’ve known you for how many weeks now?”
“You can’t switch those things off,” and understanding Tommy replied.
“It’s still going to be there,” Lucie continued. “But I don’t want you to feel awkward and feel like you can’t talk to me.”
“Regardless of what has happened, I still want the friendship there,” Tommy assured her. “I don’t want to lose that.”
But Lucie couldn’t resist going even further, as she lamented: “I just feel stupid because at the start I don’t know why I didn’t choose you.”
Will Lucie give George a fair chance or has she never really liked him after all?
Recently Curtis Pritchard’s family members have spoken out on whether they believe he is also playing a game on the programme.
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
