Megan Barton Hanson throws Love Island The Games into chaos as she snogs Kyra after coupling up | The Sun

MEGAN Barton Hanson and Kyra Green left Love Island Games producers in panic after they coupled up on the show.

The pair shared a sweet kiss on the balcony, with Kyra telling Megan she "felt like she'd won the lottery".

In episode five of Love Island Games, which was released on Peacock on 6 November, viewers watched as the contestants coupled up for the first time on the show.

Kyra, who lives in Los Angeles, who was a new arrival to the villa, had her sights set on Megan from the day she arrived.

She asked Megan, who was having a one-to-one conversation with Callum Hole, if she could "steal her for a chat".

The two women then went on to speak openly with each other about their sexuality and the people they'd dated in the past.

How to watch Love Island Games in the UK

Despite both Megan and Kyra being very open and proud about being bisexual, the show has always been based on heterosexual couples and has never catered for queer islanders.

So Megan and Kyra choosing to pair up, means that two of the boys are now at a loose end.

Megan revealed previously how she first realised she was bisexual in her teens.

She has had a string of relationships with women including footballer Chelcee Grimes and Towie's Demi Sims.

Kyra previously said that her first love was another woman.

The 26-year-old musician, who lives in Los Angeles, delivered an adorable coupling-up speech to Megan.

Reflecting on the speech on the balcony, Megan, 29, told Kyra: "You know when you were saying your speech, I was thinking it was so cute and it better be me."

"We were vibing for sure and I didn't know if all the flirting and s**t was there you know. But I'm happy that you were happy about it because I was f**king nervous," Kyra grinned.

"Were you? You didn't show it at all!" Megan said.

"You don't either!" Kyra laughed.

They went on to talk about their strategy for the games, with Kyra asking Megan if she was good at general knowledge, admitting that wasn't her strong suit.

Megan replied: "Yeah I would say general knowledge is pretty good. I'm such a geek – my friends and I, if we're like bored or something on a Wednesday night we'll do like a pub quiz or something."

"So, you're like a hot geek? Wow, I've won the lottery. She's beautiful and she's smart. Let's go!" Kyra said.

A flirtatious Megan replied: "What do you want to do?" and Kyra said: "I want to kiss you", before the pair leaned in.

Fans were thrilled for the couple, with one viewer writing: "Kyra and Megan hands down hottest couple in Love Island history like it’s not even a competition."

“I was crossing my fingers and screaming for them to couple up,” another added.

"Pretty bisexual girlies coupling up on love island, call that HERSTORY!" a third wrote.

"I was screaming at the top of my lungs when Kyra coupled up with Megan. Love to see a same-sex couple on Love Island!!!” chimed a fourth.

Love Island Games kicked off on the US streaming platform Peacock on November 1, 2023.
