Mica Paris is open to EastEnders return as Ellie Nixon is 'not dead'

Mica Paris has revealed that she would be open to an EastEnders return given that her character is ‘not dead’.

The actress portrayed Ellie Nixon – the adoptive grandmother of Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) son, Raymond.

The devilish gangster frequented Walford between September and October last year, and found herself embroiled in a heated rivalry with Phil.

Mica ‘loved’ playing Ellie, revealing that it’s not impossible for her character to return at a later stage, given that she’s still alive.

‘She’s definitely not dead, honey!,’ the singer told MailOnline. ‘I loved doing
that role. It was very powerful – intense! And she didn’t die, so…’

She added: ‘Steve [McFadden] and I – he’s a fantastic guy – and it was so nice
being with him, he’s good people!

‘We would have such a giggle – and then we’d switch into these monsters.
Then in between we would giggle again. But doing EastEnders – it’s like
a family there.

‘They all look out for each other. It’s such a good place to work
because everyone pulls together, in terms of support. Even when you’re
the outsider, there are no bad vibes at all.’

Mica made her final appearance in EastEnders on October 26, 2020, when she had a heated confrontation with Phil.
