Miriam Margoyles issues cheeky dig at newly-single Vanessa Feltz on This Morning
This Morning: Miriam Margolyes draws Vanessa Feltz comparison
Miriam Margolyes took advantage of manning the This Morning phone lines on Wednesday to tease fellow show contributor Vanessa Feltz about her relationship status.
The boisterous 82-year-old, who recently appeared on the cover of Vogue, had been invited back to answer caller’s problems after a recent appearance which went down a treat with viewers.
As she sat by the phones for the ITV daytime show eating an onion, presenters Holly Willoughby and Josie Gibson, couldn’t curtail giggles as they enquired what sort of calls she had received.
“People are not happy at the moment,” she said as she glanced at her notes.
“Somebody’s in a relationship and after 25 how do they find a partner? I think Vanessa [Feltz] asked me that in the dressing room,” she cheekily quipped.

For her part Vanessa, who was also appearing on the show, seemed to take it well as she could be heard off camera in the background saying, “I did”.
Vanessa split from Ben Ofoedu, her partner of 17 years at the beginning of the year.
In June she revealed that she’s been out every night since the breakup telling OK!: “It’s been 20 weeks exactly and I’m still here.
“I’ve been out every single night for 140 nights without fail, without a single exception.
“Meeting up with friends and family, over to people’s houses, out to films, if there’s a premiere. I’ve been to everything,” she admitted.

Recently she dipped her toe back into the dating pool with an appearance on Celebs Go Dating on E4, however, she didn’t find it a pleasant experience claiming she was set up by producers.
Following accusations that she came across as “closed off” and “sulky” in the show, Vanessa told MailOnline: “I had no idea the editors were going to carve me up like that.
“I was always on my best behaviour for hours on end and then they always showed the bit where I’m looking so p****d off at the end.
“If I hadn’t have been so sulky they wouldn’t have shown it. Dating at any [time is] hard but dating in front of thousands of people. I’ve learnt not to do anymore reality TV.”
This Morning is on ITV weekdays at 10am.
