Morning Live in ANOTHER hosting shake-up as beloved star missing from BBC sofa | The Sun

MORNING Live faced yet another shake-up as a beloved star went missing from the red sofa today.

After spending a long weekend away in France at a friend's wedding, Gethin Jones was absent from the BBC studio again this Friday (September 8) while attending an even more exciting event.

Kimberley Walsh and Janette Manrara took over for the Welsh presenter in Manchester as he joined Ross Kemp on set for Bridge of Lies.

A group from Morning Live are preparing to take on the quiz show, which sees contestants team up to compete for cash by crossing a bridge of stepping stones across a studio floor.

Players must try and answer themed questions correctly to get across the bridge, avoiding any of the wrong answers – otherwise known as lies.

If they make too many mistakes, contestants risk falling off the bridge and being ejected from the game.

The third season of the game show is filming now, and the team from Morning Live were busy rehearsing for their turn at making it across to dry land this morning.

The breakfast show tuned in to Glasgow for the surprise segment, and Gethin told viewers: "Morning, it's Morning Live on tour everybody, here we are, the nerves are high… in Dr Ranj and Anna and Bryony. What a team! Although we were discussing this earlier and we are not sure we are a great team, we were trying to work out what our strengths were for this quiz and, erm…"

He trailed off to laughter, and Dr Ranj cut in: "I've been swatting up on microwavable food!"

Gethin added: "We've got an unknown strength in Bryony…anything on boy bands. It's easy when you're here but it's difficult when you get to the set!"

Former EastEnders star Ross Kemp had some encouraging words for the breakfast show hosts, quipping: "The secret of this game is to enjoy it and play as a team. Step on the truths, avoid the lies, but ultimately enjoy it.

"You've got great general knowledge and sport, you've got a doctor and two chefs, what could possibly go wrong!"

BBC Morning Live continues weekdays at 9:15am on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
