Naga Munchetty disappears from BBC Breakfast 20 minutes into show – forcing Charlie Stayt to host alone | The Sun

BBC BREAKFAST presenter Naga Munchetty disappeared during this morning's show – leaving her co-host to present alone.

The broadcaster and journalist usually presents the flagship programme alongside Charlie Stayt.

However, Charlie, 60 told viewers that Naga was struggling to speak and had to leave the red sofa.

Just 20 minutes into the show, he told viewers: "You may have noticed this morning that Naga has just stepped away from the sofa.

"This morning she has a slight struggle in her voice."

However, Naga was unable to rejoin the show and Charlie continued to present alone.

Fans of the Beeb show had noticed the 47-year-old journalist was struggling before she left the studio.

Taking to social media one viewer said: "Oooh Naga you poor thing. Hope your lovely voice recovers soon #BBCBreakfast."

"Oh dear…yesterday it was Charley Stayt with a cough and today @TVNaga01 sounds like she's just smoked 50 cigarettes…Charley now flying solo on @BBCBreakfast..hope Naga feeling better soon," said another viewer.

While another viewer tweeted: "Hope Naga is OK."

Viewers also had sympathy for Charlie and sent him words of encouragement as he continued the show solo.

"@BBCBreakfast keep on going Charlie! Clearly a testing morning with Naga losing her voice and the loss of audio in Doha! Oh the joys of live broadcasting," said one fan.
