Naga Munchetty holds back laughter as she floors BBC fans with innuendo

BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty was left trying to hold back the laughter after she made a cheeky remark on air.

The presenter, 47, returned to her usual spot on the red sofa for Thursday's instalment (December 1) of the morning show alongside regular co-host Charlie Stayt.

During the show, a segment was featured about Winnie and Eeyore – two beavers who were building a dam on the River Glaven.

Local wildlife experts spoke about their desires for the two beavers to breed and have a family in their new home.

Returning to the studio, the duo discussed what they had watched as Naga spoke highly of the animals.

She told her co-host: "So I've always liked beavers, always found them fascinating.

"Winnie and Eeyore are just such hard workers. To be able to build a 50 metre dam, can you imagine the equivalent human being doing something like that?"

The news anchor added: "It's ridiculous, they'd never work as hard."

The 60-year-old responded: "In some ways, Winnie and Eeyore, given their characters, I mean they weren't hard workers were they?"

Looking slightly shocked, Naga laughed before realising Charlie was talking about the character's from A. A. Milne's book who the beavers are named after.

Charlie continued: "Yeah the real Eeyore, they didn't get much done, but there you go."

Naga said: "He did, he thought a lot…but beavers just do," before Charlie attempted to move on.

But not letting the opportunity slide, Naga added: "It's all about the action with the beaver."

The BBC star then gazed at the camera with a cheeky look in her eye as she attempted to keep a straight face.

The moment didn't go unnoticed by viewers who were straight to social media to share their enjoyment at the rude joke.

One wrote: "@TVNaga01 thank you for the brilliant beaver story this morning. “It’s all about the action with a beaver”. Classic. Well done for keeping straight face and keeping us entertained."

"@TVNaga01 It's all about the action with the beaver" How did you keep a straight face! @BBCBreakfast," added another viewer.

A third chimed: "Its all about the action with the beaver…. apparently according to #nagamunchetty #bbcbreakfast Funny, she so knew what she was doing and does well to hide the laugh."

Echoing these thoughts, a fourth penned: "Don't overthink "It's all about the action with the beaver". @TVNaga01 gold."
