Neighbours Toadie and Melanie ‘likely’ to get back together in dramatic twist
Neighbours' Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) is "likely" to get back with ex Melanie Pearson (Lucinda Cowden) following her shock return to Ramsay Street.
Mel's absence was the subject of speculation among fans when the Australian returned to screens in September but a huge week of flashback episodes later filled in the dots. The fan favourite stunned her loved ones as she started to detail the real reason for her mysterious departure.
Toadie previously claimed that Mel declared that she no longer wanted to be a stepmum to his children but this is not the case. It was revealed has been revealed that Mel was being tormented by Krista Sinclair, an old face from her past who also happens to be Reece Sinclair’s (Mischa Barton) missing sister.

While Mel was away, Toadie married neighbour Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) but artificially intelligent "creative" tool Bard AI has told Daily Stae that Melanie could soon be back in the arms of her ex-husband. They told Daily Star: "Toadie and Melanie have had a long and complicated relationship. Their relationship has been complicated by a number of factors, including Melanie's past, Toadie's career, and their children.
"Whether or not Toadie and Melanie will get back together is ultimately up to the writers of Neighbours. However, there are a number of factors that could affect their decision, including the chemistry between the actors, the reaction of the fans, and the overall direction of the show.
"If the actors have good chemistry, it will make it more believable for their characters to get back together. Also, If the fans are overwhelmingly in favour of Toadie and Melanie getting back together, the writers may be more likely to make it happen but If the writers are planning to focus on a new generation of characters, they may be less likely to revisit old storylines like Toadie and Melanie's relationship.Ultimately, only time will tell whether or not Toadie and Melanie will get back together. However, there is always a possibility that they could find their way back to each other in the future."

It comes after Melanie was left to die after taking a treacherous fall down the stairs at Erinsborough High. The much-loved character, joined Jane Harris (Annie Jones) and Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) for a protest to save the school. Erinsborough High, as fans know, is set to close after the land was sold to Terese, who intends to build her retirement experience on it, which has resulted in conflict with Jane.
The police turned up to keep an eye on the crowds but horror struck when an altercation resulted in Melanie taking a shock tumble down the stairs. Unfortunately, no-one noticed that she had fallen and the lights were switched off as she lay at the bottom of the stairs, desperately in need of help.
