Nigel Farage could get in a fight with Im A Celeb co-star

Nigel Farage chats about risks of entering I’m A Celebrity

Nigel Farage has admitted he “could get into a fight with someone” as he officially confirmed his upcoming stint on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! this year.

The ex-politician, who used to be the leader of the UKIP Party, has reportedly been paid been paid a whopping £1.5 million by ITV to appear on the show.

Speaking to GB News, Farage shared his reasons for signing up to the reality programme.

“The upsides are obvious. They’re obvious. You reach a whole new big audience, you test yourself in a way that you haven’t done for years, you make good money doing it,” he said.

“The downsides – well look. It could be a complete, total car crash.

“A disaster. I might finish up having a fight with somebody – who knows! I might get voted out on the first round, I don’t know.”

Since his confirmation on the show, over one thousand people have sent written complaints to hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

Best for Britain has launched a new campaign urging the public to not watch the show, which launches on Sunday.

The campaign has so far encouraged more than 1000 people to complain to ITV about platforming Nigel and boycott the programme.

Naomi Smith, CEO of Best for Britain, said: “While the thought of Farage mingling with other creepy-crawlies may seem appropriate, anything that normalises or amplifies his toxic views must be opposed.

“After a weekend that saw police injured at the hands of a far-right mob, and after years of his politics poisoning our society, we want the public to send a clear message to Ant and Dec, ITV and the media at large, that giving a divisive populist like Farage a nightly primetime platform is not good for our country.”

Meanwhile, Nigel added: “Given millions hate me, I do expect people will vote for me to do trials!”
