Phillip Schofield couldn’t resist making a cheeky dig at Dr Chris Steele following the announcement Marks and Spencer will be selling ‘viagra-like’ pills to customers.

The ‘Mendurance’ tablets – which are caffeine-based to give users more energy – aim to help with your sex drive, though don’t help with erectile dysfunction.

They’re available in shops as well as home delivery.

Appearing on This Morning, Dr Chris, 75, spoke about the positive benefits of the available-for-all supplement, with Holly Willoughby saying you could “pick up Percy Pigs and Colin The Caterpillars” as you get them.

“There's a headline saying M&S offer Viagra for home delivery. So I thought I have to look into this…” Dr Chris said, before quickly adding: “Not that I'm interested in Viagra… I'm purely interested in the science!”

Seizing his opportunity, Phillip joked: “You won't be able to shut your front door!”

The joke made the Dr Chris and the crew on the show burst out laughing, with the 75-year-old addressing that they’re not actually official medicine.

The new product boasts in its ad: “Mendurance supplement is your wingman when you just need a little extra oomph.

“Designed for more fun, it’s your little secret that packs a big punch!”

The Sunbroke the news, likening it to Viagra.

Elsewhere on the show, Phillip and Holly spoke to funnyman Lenny Henry, who was calling in from New Zealand while filming the new Lord Of The Rings series.

They also dissected the name of Prince Harry and Meghan’s new baby daughter, Lilibet Diana.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
