The Duke has distanced himself from the News At Ten presenter, believing he can no longer trust the 54-year-old who was once a close confidant, according to royal sources. The second in line to the throne and Kate asked Bradby to conduct their engagement interview in November 2010 and invited the journalist and his wife Claudia, a jewellery designer, to their wedding at Westminster Abbey 10 years ago. But Bradby became close to Harry too and he was also at Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018.
During a royal tour of Africa in 2019 Bradby gave them air time to voice their anger during filming for a documentary.
He asked Meghan if she was OK and she issued a thinly-veiled rebuke to the Royal Family, saying: “Thank you for asking. Not many people have asked if I am OK.”
Bradby has since acted as an unofficial spokesman for the couple.
The Cambridges were also upset ITV screened Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Harry and Meghan last month and are said to have blamed Bradby for influencing the decision.
Kensington Palace and ITV News would not comment yesterday.
