Reality TV stars who have appeared on multiple shows – from MAFS’ Peggy Rose to Rylan

Watching the newest series of Big Brother, you might recognise some of the contestants from other shows. Tom's been on Kavos Weekender, while Farida was recently on Blankety Blank.

It's a similar story with celebrity stars on programmes like I'm A Celebrity and Strictly Come Dancing as the shows continue to run. We're likely to see people appearing across several programmes as the talent pool shrinks.

Although this usually happens on a small scale, some of the stars involved have been on dozens of shows, from Rylan to MAFS' Peggy Rose. Here, we take a closer look at the television personalities…

You might remember Rylan from his sobbing when he was told by mentor Nicole Scherzinger that he was in the X Factor finals, but he's made several appearances on reality television shows.

He was in Signed By Katie Price before the singing series, after a failed attempt to get into Big Brother. Later, after X Factor, Rylan was in Celebrity Big Brother.

His stint in the infamous house was so popular, he went on to present Bit On The Side, taking over from Emma Willis.

Rylan didn't stop there when it came to reality television, later appearing in Celebrity Masterchef and Bake Off. In 2019, he was a contestant on a star-studded version of The Apprentice but he found it a very tough experience.

TOWIE diva Gemma Collins has racked up a number of reality television appearances too- from Splash! to Celebrity Big Brother.

Her iconic stint in the house saw her become a meme Queen, as she uttered phrases including "I'm claustrophobic Darren" and "Get that fire exit door, I'm off!"

You'll also have seen Gemma on your screen in Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity Masterchef, All Together Now and Dancing On Ice.

After TOWIE, Mark, who is married to actress Michelle Keegan, also dipped his toe into the reality television world. He's been on I'm A Celebrity as well as Strictly Come Dancing and had his show Mark Wright's Hollywood Nights too.

His success on reality television eventually saw him handed a job as the host of Channel 5's The Bachelor reboot.

Aussie Courtney began her career as a contestant on Australian Idol. But since then, she's become better known for her stints on RuPaul's Drag Race and Celebrity Big Brother.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner went on to host dating show The Bi Life and then appeared on Dancing with the Stars as well as Single AF on MTV.

The MAFS star was on Take Me Out in 2012, another dating show.

She eventually found love and went to the Isle of Fernandos with Andrew from Liverpool but their romance wasn't to last.

Another huge fan of appearing on reality shows is Kerry Katona, who has been on countless programmes. These include: I'm A Celebrity, Celebrity Big Brother, The Big Reunion, Dancing on Ice and Celebs Go Dating.

Kerry has had her own shows too, including Kerry Katona: Crazy in Love, Kerry Katona: What's The Problem? and Kerry Katona: The Next Chapter.

She's become one of the most Marmite characters in the UK, but before she made her way into life as a right-wing commentator, Katie was in a raft of reality television shows.

These include: The Apprentice, Celebrity Four Weddings and I'm a Celebrity- and she's even been in the final of Celebrity Big Brother.

Although he started out singing on The X Factor in two series of the show, Jake's gone on to carve out a path as a reality star.

He's been on I'm A Celebrity as a runner-up to Carl Fogarty and also appeared on Seven Days With with his then-girlfriend.

Other shows he's been spotted on screen in include The Jump, where he missed out on a win again, and Dancing On Ice, where he and professional partner Vanessa Bauer won in 2018.

One of the country's national treasures, who now presents This Morning, first appeared on our screens in the third series of Big Brother.

The house produced other mega stars including Jade Goody, Kate Lawler and Adele Roberts. After the show, Alison appeared in shows like Celebrity Fit Club, Let's Sing and Dance for Comic Relief and Celebrity Coach Trip.


The Emmerdale actress was on Soapstar Superstar and later in Dancing on Ice. She's also been in Celebrity Coach Trip and Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls. Roxanne now favours a life away from the spotlight after a controversial time in Celebrity Big Brother that saw her accuse her housemate Ryan Thomas of punching her.

Clean Queen Kim started out on How Clean is Your House with co-star Aggie. After their show, she was on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, when she became known for her outrageous behaviour. Since, she's been in I'm A Celebrity, Let's Dance for Comic Relief, Celebrity Come Dine With Me and Famous, Rich and Homeless.

The X Factor crooner, who won the show, made a foray into other programmes after his time on the series. He won Popstar to Operastar and The Jump too.

Former glamour model Katie has been in I'm A Celebrity and Celebrity Big Brother but has also had fly-on-the wall series about her life and time with her ex-husband Peter Andre.

The JLS star has been a judge on Sky's Got To Dance and Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls following his success on the X Factor. He's also put on his dancing shoes for Strictly Come Dancing, becoming very popular with the public.

Megan, who was on X Factor and Britain's Got Talent, has been a huge reality star since 2015, starting off on Ex On The Beach and then being on Celebrity Big Brother. Thanks to her success in the house, she became a cast member on TOWIE and has also been on Celebs Go Dating and Celebs on the Farm.

Gary won Celebrity Big Brother and went on to be on Dancing With The Stars, The Apprentice and Celebrity Rehab. His win on CBB saw him become one of the most memorable reality stars.

Pop Idol crooner Gareth has skated on Dancing on Ice as well as an All Stars special. He's not stopped there, as he's also been in a boyband called 5th Story in the Big Reunion's second series.

The late star is one of the most iconic BB housemates ever, who appeared in five separate versions of the show. She also had a spin-off show called Princess Nikki and was on Celebrity Coach Trip with her housemate Aisleyne.

Simon's ex Sinitta is another reality television fan. She's been in Dancing On Ice, The Jump and I'm A Celebrity as well as Cirque De Celebrite and Get Your Act Together. She's done some cooking too, being in Celebrity Masterchef, and appeared in Sing If You Can.

Radio presenter Vanessa had a very public meltdown on Celebrity Big Brother. She was in Ultimate Big Brother a decade later and has also been in Celebrity Wife Swap.

Rebecca, who first hit the headlines over her alleged affair with David Beckham, appeared in a number of reality shows after her bombshell interview.
She'd been on X Factor: Battle of the stars and The Farm as well as Celebrity Love Island, Survivor and Cirque De Celebrite.

Joey's one of the most iconic TOWIE stars and has gone on to achieve a lot since the show. He's been in Splash! and I'm A Celebrity and even won The Jump. Romantic Joey was on Celebs Go Dating and had his own show called Educating Joey Essex.

Lisa was in the Sky series CelebAir before being on Dancing on Ice and Totally Scott Lee. She's also appeared as a housemate in a fictional version of Celebrity Big Brother in the last episode of the comedy Extras by Ricky Gervais.

Pineapple Dance Studios featured Louie, a camp dance teacher, who injected some fun into the world of reality television. He's been in a number of other shows since, including The Jump, Celebs on the Farm and Celebrity Big Brother.

Starting off on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and I Am Cait, Caitlyn went on to appear in I'm A Celebrity and Skating With Celebrities in the US.

One of the OG Geordie Shore cast members, Vicky made quite a name for herself in the world of reality television. She's been on Ex On The Beach as well as her own show Judge Geordie.

After her stint in I'm A Celebrity, she created a new career for herself as a television personality. Later, she was on Australian I'm A Celebrity, making it to the final.

Calum's quite a fan of reality television, and has appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, Celebs Go Dating and Celebrity Love Island. You might also have spotted him on Famously Single, Totally Calum Best and Celebrity Bainisteoir, an Irish reality show.
