Fans were stunned when Big Alice’s Head of Hospitality Kevin McCahon (played by Tom Lipinski) was revealed to have survived his torture at the hands of Mr. Wilford (Sean Bean) at the beginning of Snowpiercer season two. However, the cruel engineer’s underling may be suffering a fate worse than death, as Miss Audrey star Lena Hall explained to fans tuning in each week on TNT and Netflix.
Warning: this article contains graphic/violent material.
The second season of Snowpiercer just delivered its most horrific sequence yet following the unexpected reveal that Kevin had survived his ordeal with Mr. Wilford.
At the start of the new season, Wilford tortures Kevin for revealing information to the Snowpiercer, seemingly compelling the Head of Hospitality to commit suicide.
In one of the most surreally chilling scenes of the series so far, Wilford makes Kevin share his bath before forcing him to cut his own wrists.
Despite his absence from most of the series, episode seven, ‘Our Answer For Everything’, revealed Kevin is actually alive, a shell of the man he was before.
The bleak and disturbing science fiction series once again surpassed viewers’ expectations this week with a tragic exchange between Kevin and Wilford’s paramour Miss Audrey.
Earlier, it was implied that Wilford’s bizarre method of torture could actually be some sort of twisted fetish, as he had also exercised his sadistic desires on Audrey in the past.
Now, Audrey is being coerced into convincing Wilford’s latest victim that the sociopathic CEO can be trusted, even though Kevin appears to be on the brink of death after his experience.
As the season continued this Monday, principal star Lena Hall has opened up about the disturbing experience filming one of Miss Audrey’s most horrifying scenes so far.
She told The Natural Aristocrat: “Another brutal scene to film… Again, Miss Audrey’s downfall is her jealousy.
“She thinks she’s the only one who’s done this to herself.
“The only one who was this close to Mr. Wilford and shown him this type of loyalty… Or has been through this kind of situation.”
Some fans are still convinced Audrey is playing the long game and will eventually reveal she’s been seeding Wilford’s downfall from the inside.

Unfortunately, this week’s episode seems to drive home that Wilford has somehow managed to convince Audrey he still has her best interests at heart, in spite of his demonstrable cruelty.
Audrey even supports this herself when she admits Wilford must ‘really like’ Kevin as she removed his bandages to reveal the scars on his wrists.
Lena Hall continued: “That was the worst thing she said!
“That’s what he did to Miss Audrey. For me, it was the ultimate expression of love in Mr. Wilford’s eyes.”
“That scene was really, really hard. Kudos go to Tom Lipinski who plays Kevin, he did a great job and it was truly intense for him to keep that up, take after take.”
For many, the second season of Snowpiercer has improved on the show’s first instalment by leaps and bounds, and this week’s episode was no different.
Even so, the dystopian drama remains one of the most disturbing visions of the future on TV at the moment, and can only get darker over the next three episodes.
Snowpiercer season 2 continues Monday, March 15 on TNT and the following Tuesday on Netflix.
