Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) likes to think he is the cock of the walk in Walford – an untouchable hardman who can take down any criminal nemesis with ease and always come up smelling of roses. But the EastEnders wannabe gangster is going to get a rude awakening when he decides to take on newcomer Ellie (Mica Paris), unaware that she is far more dangerous than he could possibly imagine.
Ellie has taken Raymond and Phil, having just bonded with his son, is not taking his lying down. As Ben (Max Bowden) confides in Callum (Tony Clay) that Phil is having restless nights and getting badly worked up over it all, Callum seeks out DI Thompson’s help in tracking down Ellie, insisting that it will help to get Phil on side if they are going to catch him out.
This leads to Ellie and Phil coming face to face but she is very clear on what she wants to happen and how. Her attitude inflames Phil and while Ben and Ritchie both argue that the only way forward is to take her through the courts properly, Phil is enraged and declares war on Ellie.
But he may be biting off more than he can chew this time as secrets come to light about Ellie’s true nature. However, this does give Phil some ammunition to try and prove that Ellie is an unfit guardian for Raymond – and he wouldn’t be safe with her.
A bold claim from a gun toting former crack addict who once burned down a pub and who regularly ends up either shot or bleeding out in the pit of the Arches.
As Phil formulates a plan to take Ellie down, Callum does some research at work but Thompson is already getting suspicious.
Is Ellie about to grab the upper hand and leave Phil realising that his new adversary is more powerful than he gave her credit for?
