Strictly 2023 couples intensity levels go through roof in race to lift trophy
Nigel Harman and Amanda Abbington should go head-to-head for the Strictly Come Dancing Glitterball Trophy because of their high “intensity levels”, a body expert has said.
As the BBC dance competition continues to heat up, some of the stronger couples are now becoming easier to identify – and two couples, in particular, could have all the makings of a winner.
Darren Stanton, a body language and behavioral expert, believes Nigel and Katya Jones could tough it out against rivals Amanda and Giovanni Pernice.
Speaking to Betfair Slots, Darren pointed towards Amanda and Giovanni as the potential winners, as they have a very “visual and intense” chemistry.
However, he also noted that Nigel and Katya should go head-to-head with them for the trophy, as their “intensity levels go through the roof” during every performance.

“Nigel Harman and Katya Jones will be strong contenders to win the competition along with Amanda and Giovanni,” he said. “It could be one of the two. Those two couples will come head-to-head in the end.
“Their intensity levels, as well as trust in one another, go through the roof every time they perform. Unless something goes seriously wrong in the coming weeks, there is no doubt that Nigel will be up against Amanda in the final.”
Darren added that Nigel has the “hunger to win”, which is evident through his “fantastic eye contact” with Katya.

“Nigel always has fantastic eye contact with Katya, and he seems to really immerse himself in every routine,” he continued. “He dances with such ease, and Katya has brought a great side out of him.
“He’s really let himself go and it’s paid off every week. It comes down to his willingness to learn and hunger to win.
“It also shows how much trust he is putting in Katya, who he didn’t know before the competition – and that takes a lot from someone.”
This Saturday will see Strictly waltz its way into its fifth week, with only 12 couples remaining.
Last weekend’s standout performer was Nigel, the bookies’ frontrunner. His Salsa – a notoriously difficult dance for male celebrities – oozed conviction and scored 33 points.
Harman had turned in two subdued performances in the previous weeks, but this was a return to form.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One from 6:30pm.
