Amy appeared after Casualty star Nigel Harman and Katya Jones had opened the show to a Batman themed dance.
He is the current favourite to win this year’s show. Although he was second-favourite before last week’s show, bookies Ladbrokes slashed the odds on the former EastEnders star winning the Glitterball Trophy, and he’s now 7/4 favourite to go all the way having leapfrogged former frontrunner, Bobby Brazier who is at 3/1.
Elsewhere, Angela Scanlon and Ellie Leach are 6/1 apiece to win the series, while Amanda Abbington (8/1) is currently the only other name priced shorter than 10/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Nigel’s impressed judges, fans and punters alike up to this point… it’s no surprise he’s leapfrogged Bobby to head the betting after just two weeks. He’s very much the one to beat now, as far as we’re concerned.”
Strictly Come Dancing results show is on BBC One on Sunday night.
