The Bay fans all have the same complaint about key suspect – raging 'can you be that stupid?!' | The Sun

THE Bay viewers all had the same complaint about a suspect on the show.

The second episode of the ITV crime drama started with DS Jenn Townsend attempting to solve the mystery surrounding Beth Metcalf's death.

But, viewers assume Dean (Joe Armstrong), the couple's husband, is up to no good because he appeared to not want to provide the police important information.

There was a devastating house fire in which Beth died despite saving her children.

DS Jenn Townsend is called to help bereft husband Dean, who is struggling to hold it together with four children to look after.

Meanwhile, back at home, Jenn’s got troubles of her own as, along with Chris, she tries to get to grips with the realities of having a house full of teenagers and a blended family.

Prior to his daughter unintentionally revealing he had two phones, Dean didn't have any plans to tell the police about his second phone, which he had not yet handed over.

Dean casually responded that he had forgotten before delivering it to them as part of the investigation when asked why he hadn't stated it earlier.

Jen then questioned him about his financial issues, and asked how he could afford rented equipment – which Dean said he had taken a loan out.

Suspicious viewers immediately flocked to social media to express their opinions after witnessing Dean repeatedly fail to provide the police with crucial information that could aid in solving the case.
