Details are starting to emerge about the upcoming season of MTV’s long-running reality competition series The Challenge. The rumored title of season 36 is The Challenge: Double Agents, with pairs of contestants competing in Reykjavík, Iceland. A reliable insider has also revealed the cast list, which reportedly includes legends and Olympians. The source also claims that two champions paired up immediately.
‘The Challenge: Double Agents’ will feature 30 cast members
According to Monsters and Critics, Vevmo user and Challenge expert PinkRose claims that season 36 began with 38 potential cast members. They began in quarantine for two weeks back in August to make sure no one tested positive for COVID-19.
The source revealed that 30 ended up making the final cut. Just like in recent years, this season’s cast includes veterans from other reality shows like Big Brother, Survivor, Are You The One?, and Love Island. TJ Lavin will also be returning as the host.
One notable absence from this season’s cast is all-time Challenge vet and big money winner Johnny Bananas. Since winning Total Madness, he has shifted his focus to other projects. Female Total Madness winner Jenny West won’t be back for Double Agents, either.
