The Chase Celebrity Special left viewers in a state of confusion on Sunday night (March 19) after they failed to recognise the famous faces on the show.

The popular game show, hosted by Bradley Walsh featured Drag Race star The Vivienne, producer Naughty Boy, comedian Jaye Adams and former footballer Tony Cottee.

But several fans thought they were watching the wrong show as they didn't seem to recognise the celebs apart from Tony.

Heading over to Twitter, avid TV viewers shared their complaints.

One person wrote: "Celebrity Special needs to be investigated by @Ofcom. There are people on the show impersonating celebrities."

Another said: "Celebrity Chase? Who are they? Never heard of any of them?"

A third penned: "Celebrities, I recognise on #TheChase? One. That's it. One and he played for West Ham."

Another added: "At least the Contestants on Celebrity Chase are more entertaining than the standard weekly ones."

While a fifth chimed: "The only thing that could’ve made this episode of The Celebrity Chase better would’ve been if they actually had some real celebrities on it."

Although it looked like the team were going to do great on the ITV show, things quickly went down hill.

Strictly Come Dancing star Jayde was first to take on Chaser, The Sinah Man after gaining £2,000 in her cash builder round.

But unfortunately Jayde was caught by the TV brainbox.

Naughty Boy and The Vivienne were also caught by the Chaser, leaving Tony to battle it out by himself in the final round.

With £4,000 in the kitty, Tony tried his best to answer the questions hurled at him by presenter Bradley.

After answering eleven questions correctly, it was all to play for.
