The Masked Singer: Mo Gilligan says show is 'very secretive'
Bushbaby is one of the 12 contestants taking part in season two of The Masked Singer and they found themselves in danger of having their identity exposed last weekend. After performing a rendition of Delilah by Tom Jones, the celebrity hidden inside the costume failed to win over the audience but they were saved by the judges. With some of the panel and viewers at home believing Dynamo, 38, could be taking part in the ITV competition show, the magician himself has dropped a mysterious clue about the character’s real identity.
Speaking in their clue package before taking to the stage, the contestant seemed to talk in an Australian accent as the bushbaby is a popular animal living in the wilderness Down Under.
However, many thought the accent was being put on but their curiosity was spiked when the character said they were up and about at night time.
Magic was also referenced in the VT, with a potato put under a plastic cup before disappearing when the container was lifted.
They also stated this wasn’t the first competition they had taken part in and declared a lot of their wardrobe had been seen on-screen.
Rita Ora, 30, was the first to guess Dynamo could be hiding inside the adorable costume and it seems he has since fuelled the fire.

In view of his two million Twitter followers, the magician and stage performer wrote: “I’m not saying I’m the BushBaby.
“But have you ever seen me and BushBaby in the same room at the same time…#MaskedSinger #bushbaby #Maskedsingeruk.”
Dynamo is originally from Bradford in West Yorkshire, not Australia where the contestant wanted viewers to think they were from.
Though the celebrity has toured the world and some of the most significant places he has visited include performing Down Under by thousands of fans.
I’m not saying I’m the BushBaby
Dynamo has also featured in numerous campaigns for clothes brands, possibly a clue to his wardrobe being seen on-screen.
His magical talents clearly point to the potato trick performed during the VT but this could be another celebrity trying to pass themselves off as a supernatural being.
It seems viewers are keen to see the magician unmasked as Bushbaby as they’ve voiced their opinions on Twitter.
One fan of the stage performer wrote: “Love it when celebs get involved in this kind of thing, brilliant from Dynamo!”

Another added: “I’ve seen some of the s**t you do, anything is possible, you could even be Mel B,” referencing Seahorse being unmasked as the former Spice Girl.
Whilst other viewers have different suspicions, with a third posting: “Throwing this out there – Stefan Dennis, aka Paul Robinson from Neighbours? #bushbaby #maskedsinger.”
“#maskedsinger #MaskedSingerUK #bushbaby is definitely Stephen Mulhern #stephenmulhern,” a fourth commented.
A fifth remarked: “Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy on Neighbours) because I’ve heard him sing before, on soap star to pop star and that is what he sounds like.”
Producers do everything they can to ensure the identity of the contestants are kept firmly under wraps until they are voted off.
Speaking about the lengths bosses go to, host Joel Dommett, 35, said: “They have hoodies on that say ‘don’t talk to me’ when they’re not in their costume.
“I said, ‘Can I have one of those hoodies?’ They sent me a hoodie. It’s really comfy. I didn’t think about it and I wore it out of the house.
“People are seeing me and I can see that they’re going, ‘There’s that Joel Dommett, he thinks he’s a bit big time.’”
The Masked Singer continues Saturday at 7pm on ITV.
