The One Show's Alex Jones asked former One Direction hunk Niall Horan "where have you been?" before he made an exciting revelation about his summer plans.

Welsh beauty Alex and Roman Kemp were at the helm of the BBC One magazine show on Wednesday evening (March 8), with them welcoming Irish heartthrob Niall.

Chatting to the singer who shot to fame on The X Factor, Alex and Roman quizzed him about his new album The Show.

But then Alex asked him "Where have you been?" when Niall revealed something exciting.

"Do you know what I couldn't believe?" Alex asked the 29-year-old Mullingar-born star, before adding: "That you're doing your first festival this summer!"

"I know," Niall replied, which left Alex aghast as she said: "I mean, that can't be right? Where have you been up until now?"

"It is nuts that this is the first," the singer went on, before explaining that up until recently, festivals were more of a "rockier thing".

And this year Niall will be performing at a string of festivals over the summer period, much to the delight of his fans, with him set to appear at 10.

According to CapitallFM, in May he'll play Boston Calling, and in June he'll perform at Pinkpop and Isle Of Wight.

July will see him at Stavernfestivalen, Trnsmt, Colours of Ostrava and Lollapalooza in Paris.

In August he's set to perform at Meo Sudoeste and Sziget, and in September he'll make an appearance at Electric Picnic.

But despite Niall saying that he would be playing his first festival this year, one fan watching at home disagreed when they penned: "Niall’s first festival??? I've seen him at Radio 1’s Big Weekend Swansea in 2018."
