Soap fans know Coronation Street and Emmerdale usually air at the same reliable times on weekdays.
However, there’s going to be a slight shift in the schedule this week (beginning May 29), as ITV evenings are taken over by five nights of live Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals.
Simon Cowell and the BGT judges are on the cusp of crowning a 2023 winner, but first the remaining hopefuls must impress the public in the Monday to Friday live shows.
Happily, though, your soap of choice will still be on, just at a different time than usual.
Here’s all you need to know.
When is Coronation Street on this week?
Coronation Street will air from 7.30pm until 8pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week.
Usually, Corrie airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – with the hour long episodes starting at 8pm.
However, they’ll be shortened to half hour episodes from Monday, May 29 to Friday, June 2, as the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals will be on each weekday from 8pm until 10pm.
So, don’t forget to tune in early!
If you miss out, then the soap will show its episodes at 8.30pm on ITV+1, and you can also catch up later on streamer ITVX.
When is Emmerdale on this week?
Emmerdale will air from 7pm until 7.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week.
Usually, Emmerdale airs its half hour episodes later at 7.30pm, so don’t forget to tune in early.
Again, you can catch up with the episodes at 8pm on ITV+1, or opt to watch on ITVX.
Finally, fans of soaps Doctors, EastEnders and Hollyoaks should take note that their favourite shows won’t be changing their time slots this week – as they air on BBC One and Channel 4, respectively.
