Will there be a series 2 of Intruder?

Channel 5's latest thriller Intruder has received a warm reception from fans, who are gearing up for the show's finale later this week.

The series follows a couple whose picture-perfect lives are left in tatters after an attempted burglary at their isolated coastal home ends with gruesome consequences.

Will there be a series 2 of Intruder?

There has been no inkling of a season 2 of Intruder season 2. The thriller is billed as a four-part series and there is no reason to expect a sequel.

This means the full extent of what happened in main character's Rebecca and Sam's home in episode one will be revealed.

The couple have to try and cover up the fact that two young intruders attempted a break-in, yet just one left alive.

How many episodes are there in series 1?

Intruder series 1 boasts four episodes, packed to the brim with drama.

What has happened in Intruder so far?

Episode one saw Rebecca and Sam joined by their close friends at a dinner party, before eventually the mood turns sour after two youths try and break in to their luxurious coastal mansion.

Though the majority of the guests had left at this point, Sam was still awake and heard the burglars.

Things turn sinister after Sam stabbed one of them in the back as he is fleeing. Wife Becca and her boss Angela witness the grizzly scene unfold.

The trio, rather than call the police, attempt to make the scene appear as if Sam's actions were in self-defence. However, they didn't see the second boy, who fled the scene with Sam's laptop in tow.

How can I watch Intruder?

The series features a number of notable names who have long featured in a variety of successful British and American shows, including Elaine Cassidy who starred in CBS' Harper's Island and Coronation Street's Sally Lindsay.
