New I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! trailer

Former Death in Paradise star Ben Miller has teased an upcoming appearance on this year’s series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.

The actor, who played DI Poole in the show until he was killed off in 2014 appeared on Sunday Brunch to promote his new children’s book, Once Upon A Legend.

When asked what other projects he had coming up by hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer, the 57-year-old Johnny English star revealed that he would be spending the next few months until Christmas filming in Australia.

“I’m packing for Australia, I go to Australia tomorrow until Christmas, so it’s a lot of packing. I’m going to Canberra,” he said.

Tim and Simon were quick to pick up on the timing of his trip, realising that it coincided with this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.

“Simon, I didn’t know they were doing to Jungle in Canberra this year, did you?” Tim queried.

“No I didn’t, I thought they were doing it in Wales. Interesting, I don’t know where they do it, but it is interesting,” Simon responded.

Ben gamely joined in on the joke, adding: “I’m looking forward to those Kangaroo bits.”

Unfortunately for fans, it looks like Ben may not be making an appearance in the jungle, as he is actually heading down under to film a new drama for Channel 5.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is due to return to ITV next month, although the exact date and the line-up have yet to be confirmed.
