Timbaland has found himself in some serious hot water with some of Britney Spears’ devoted fans.

The music producer has infuriated Britney’s loyal fanbase after he made some “disgusting” comments about her recent tell-all memoir, The Woman In Me, in a clip that has since made rounds on social media.

During a recent panel interview with 9th Wonder, the record producer said the Gimme More hitmaker singer has been “going crazy” after being asked about his and Justin Timberlake’s 2002 track Cry Me a River collaboration.

He also accused the singer of trying to make “headlines again” off the back of her best-selling memoir, in which she made a series of accusations against Justin, whom she dated between 1999 and 2002, and also bombshell revelations about her treacherous relationship with her father Jamie Spears.

After initially getting a kick out of the audience, Timbaland’s remarks seemed to hit Britney a little harder.

After the audience’s laughter died down, he continued: “I wanted to call and say, ‘JT, you gotta put a muzzle on that girl!'” while speaking at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, for “Sounds Architects: A Producer Conversation” on October 30.

However, the Give It To Me singer then appeared to change his tune, adding: “You know what, we live in an age of social media and viral [sic] — everybody wanna go viral.

“I get it, because that’s the way you make money — go viral. ‘I gotta do something to get people’s attention.'”

While Timbaland’s comment appeared to sit well with the audience at the Kennedy Center it certainly wasn’t the same for fans of the Toxic singer online.

One infuriated fan @_yrr_abe_ wrote: “This misogynist tried to do a comeback but tanked big time. Vamoose!”

@karmen_durbin fumed: “The wording here ‘put a muzzle on’ goes to show how many misogynistic men she had around her who felt entitled to silence her and keep her from talking.”

A third fan @Ayo__Lawal penned: “Timbaland is the one who needs a muzzle. We didn’t forget about his gross Aaliyah comments. He’s still upset Britney didn’t want to work with him. A nasty man.”

While @atw10mvftvtv added:”I threw up just watching this. Everyone is the audience who laughed is just as nasty.”
