A different happy viewers said: ‘Episode 1 done. HOOKED !!!! Super sleuth @ColeenRoo #therealwagathastory #ColeenRooney.’
In the series Coleen revealed her husband Wayne Rooney played a pivotal role in helping her expose Rebekah – even though he was completely oblivious to her super sleuthing ways.
Coleen tracked down Rebekah after posting a series of false claims on her private Instagram page – having blocked everyone but her from seeing – one of which being she was travelling to Mexico to look into ‘baby gender selection’.
After the story ended up in The Sun, Coleen realised that the leak could only have come from Rebekah’s camp as it would have been impossible for any of her friends and loved ones to take it to the press.
The reason being, as she explained in Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, was that Wayne secretly underwent a vasectomy after the couple decided their family was ‘complete’ after welcoming son Cass in 2018.
Coleen – who shares Kai, 13, Klay, 10, Kit, seven, and Cass, five, with Wayne – revealed the couple plan to have no more children after the footballer’s sterilisation procedure, making gender selection the perfect fake tale.
She explained: ‘After the birth of every one of my kids the press is always interested if I’m going to have another baby and it’s always, “would you like a girl?”
‘I always thought I’d have a few kids, maybe three at the most, but then number four came along and we knew our family was complete then.
‘Me and Wayne talked about him having a vasectomy. He said after this baby that’s it we’re not having anymore and Wayne went in and got the snip so I knew for sure we wouldn’t have any more children.
‘I’d heard about this procedure where you could choose the gender of your children but it’s something I’d never considered doing so I came up with this idea about doing a story.’
Elsewhere Coleen expressed her frustration at potentially losing money after being dragged into a ‘pathetic’ court case.
When she won her libel case against Rebekah it was ordered that her legal bills be reimbursed.
Coleen’s lawyers passed on a £1.8 million legal bill to Rebekah, who has blasted the ‘inflated’ sum that was alleged to include expenses for luxury hotel stays and pricey meals.
Speaking about the costs incurred in the trial, Coleen mused: ‘It was a pathetic reason to go to court, I wish we could’ve settled it.
‘The money was absolutely ridiculous and I might not get all my money back.’
With her own court costs believed to be adding up to around £4 million and an order to pay Coleen’s, Rebekah faces an estimated £6 million in legal fees.
Sources told The Sun she was left ‘furious after seeing Coleen’s bill’ and has launched a ‘war’ over the costs.
The insiders said she will pay what she ‘rightfully owes’ but thinks she is ‘pushing her luck by asking for almost £2million’.
Lawyers acting for Coleen said an original – much lower – sum mooted at the start of proceedings was always going to be higher.
Also in the show Wayne revealed he got so swept up in preparing for the trial he wanted to become a lawyer, until Coleen shut him down.
He said: ‘Yeah, it was interesting because I do like crime documentaries and in particular the different techniques the two barristers used.’
Wayne would often attend the daily briefings with Coleen and her lawyers, Paul Lunt and David Sherborne, where he would suggest legal arguments.
After one particular interjection from her husband, Coleen recalls saying to him: ‘Wayne shut up and let David or Paul speak’.

She said: ‘He was then going to apply for law school and he had all these plans,’ before adding that the ‘little moments’ carried them through.
Coleen’s lawyer Jamie Hurworth said: ‘Once the day was finished we would have a little debrief with Wayne and Coleen. I had not dealt with Wayne that much before the trial. But he was just fascinated by the whole thing.
‘Wayne started suggesting, like, legal argument that we should start running.’
Coleen’s lead lawyer Paul Lunt added: ‘I’m not saying he is a modern day Columbo but certainly had we have given him a gown and a wig he was bang up for asking a few questions.’
