Dan Walker appears to wade in on Laurence Fox row – Laughing along encourages
Laurence Fox suspended by GB News
Dan Walker has appeared to share his views on the Laurence Fox backlash after he made comments about a female journalist on GB News last night.
The former actor has since been suspended by the channel for comments about Ava Evans during Dan Wootton’s show.
The former BBC Breakfast host seemingly waded in on the conversation and uploaded his reaction on Instagram.
He stated: “If someone we are with says something racist or sexist then we all need to get better at pulling them up.
“Laughing along only encourages more of the same. Surely we need to ask them why they feel that way, challenge views & encourage them to see the consequences of their words.”

Dan also continued on X, formally known as Twitter: “And I’m sure many people will feel ‘you can’t say anything these days without offending someone’.
“There is no doubt that boundaries have changed but if speak the truth in love to friends & family then I’m pretty sure vile abuse quickly becomes unacceptable.”
During Dan’s show on GB News, Laurence said: “We’re past the watershed so I can say this… show me a single, self-respecting man that would like to climb into bed with that woman… ever… ever.
“That little woman has been fed… spoon-fed oppression day after day after day, starting with the lie about the gender pay gap.

“She’s sat there, and I’m going like, if I met you at a bar and that was like sentence three, chances of me just walking away are just huge.
“We need powerful, strong, amazing women who make great points for themselves. We don’t need these feminist 4.0.
“They’re pathetic and embarrassing. Who’d want to s**g that?”
Many people responded in the comments section to Dan’s post, with one person typing: “Spot on Dan. The giggling at the vile misogynist comments was just as bad as what was actually said. I’ve reported this to OFCOM. Hopefully they act promptly.”
A second commented: “You would never be like that Dan! Laurence Fox has lost the plot!”
A third said: “Dan Wootton shouldn’t even be on air.”
“Mr Fox’s suspension is effective immediately and he has been taken off air. We will be apologising formally to Ms Evans today.”
It was announced recently that Dan Wootton has also been suspended by GB News and they are now conducting a full investigation.
