Emmerdales Matthew Wolfenden takes two young sons to work after Charley Webb split
Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden attended the press night after-party for Elf The Musical with his two sons, who looked adorable in Christmas-themed outfits.
The actor landed the role of Buddy in the stage show and will be performing throughout its festive run in London.
Matthew, who recently announced his split from Charley Webb, opted for a smart casual outfit, wearing a grey suit with a white T-shirt, paired with a burgundy beanie hat at The Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel in London.
Matthew was snapped with his two sons, Bowie, seven, and four-year-old Ace, who were all smiles on the night. Bowie donned a red suit with Christmas trees and snowmen printed all over, paired with some red New Balance trainers.
Young Ace was snapped catching a ride on his dad’s shoulders and looked festive in his own Christmas-printed ensemble. The family were also seen hanging out with Rebecca Lock, Georgina Castle and Tom Chambers as they posed for some photos together.
The family outing comes just days after Charley confirmed that she had parted ways with the Emmerdale star. After months of speculation, she confirmed the news with a post on her Instagram, asking for privacy as they make their children their priority.
Writing on Instagram, Charley posted: "It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate. We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake we would appreciate privacy at this time. C x." Matthew shared the same message on his Instagram story signing off with "M".
Charley has also reportedly moved out of their large North Yorkshire family home and is getting support fromSheridan Smith.
A source told The Sun: "Charley is really busy with work so she’s hardly at home anyway but she’s moved lots of her stuff out.
"She spends her free time either with the kids or her best pal Sheridan Smith. Sheridan’s house has become a real refuge for her during the split.
"Matthew’s parents are holding the fort at home, while he’s also away doing Elf."
The couple has been together over a decade as they began dating in 2007 before announcing their were expecting their first cold in 2009. It wasn’t until 2018 that they officially tied the knot.
