Ozzy Osbourne’s loving family have shared a promising update on his health, revealing that he is ‘living life’ despite a spate of recent worrying setbacks.

It’s been a tumultuous few years for the Black Sabbath rocker, 74, who announced in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with a form of Parkinson’s disease, Parkin 2, which affects the nerves in the body.

More recently though, Ozzy was forced to pause touring in February this year following extensive spinal surgery because he was not ‘physically capable’ of the travel involved.

He had previously fallen at home in 2019, which intensified his injuries from a near-fatal quad bike crash in 2003.

Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter Kelly has revealed that the rocker still had a zest for life despite his spate of health setbacks

In July, Ozzy made the ‘painful’ decision to cancel a scheduled performance at Power Trip festival in California due to his body not being ‘ready yet’ and that he didn’t want his show to be ‘half-assed.’

Shedding light on Ozzy’s current health ahead of the release of The Osbournes Podcast on September 12, daughter Kelly, 38, said: ‘He’s got Parkinson’s and a terrible spine surgery and he’s still getting up every day, and still making music, and still doing singing lessons….’

Wife Sharon, 70, who married her rock star husband in Hawaii in 1982, added: ‘You know, he is living his life.’

The mother and daughter duo also shared that Ozzy’s sense of humor hadn’t waned despite his series of setbacks.

‘He’s in a real alien kick right now,’ Kelly divulged. ‘This morning, I came down to get a bottle for the baby because I was staying with my parents for the last couple of weeks and I found him watching live court hearings of the UFO trials. It’s six o’clock in the morning!’

Kelly is currently living back with her parents for a little bit of extra help with her little one, although she often finds herself waiting on her father.

‘Essentially, I am my dad’s b**** in the sense. He wants me to do everything at any time of day,’ she said.

‘Ozzy will text Kelly to get him takeaway food sent over,’ Sharon added. ‘He calls Kelly, Kelly orders it for him. She’s like his in-house waitress.’

Ozzy’s wife Sharon told DailyMail.com that he was ‘living life’ as the family prepared for the launch of their podcast

The wildly iconic family have recorded new episodes of The Osbournes Podcast

‘Everything that he’s discovered on YouTube, he wants me to look up for him and new books… he’s very funny,’ Kelly continued.

Kelly – who welcomed baby son Sidney with her boyfriend, Slipknot star Sid Wilson, nine months ago – has said that being at home with her family has brought her a lot of joy.

Speaking about her little boy, she beamed: ‘He really, really makes my dad happy.

‘You know, he has his papa minutes where he goes up in the morning and sits with my dad and every night before he goes to bed he sits with my dad.

‘And he makes him laugh and it is just, they love each other.’

The Osbournes Podcast is set for a triumphant return some five years after the last episode dropped.

Kelly – who welcomed her first child, a son named Sidney – revealed she was currently living back with her parents and waited on her dad’s every request

The new series comprises of 20 episodes, with Ozzy, Sharon, Kelly, and Jack sitting in their living room to discuss everything from Emmy memories to pop culture, current events, and mental health.

‘Some days, Dad didn’t make it because he was not feeling great or whatever,’ Sharon revealed.

‘But Ozzy’s done about 20 of his own shows with his friend, Billy Morrison, and they discuss everything from nuclear bombs to squirrels.’

Kelly revealed that comedian and actress Margaret Cho, 54, also featured.

‘She blew my mind a little bit with how much she knows about crime and criminal investigations and different serial killers. And that was really interesting,’ she said.

In July, Ozzy himself said that he was ‘battling through’ his health issues and recently had a filter removed from his artery.

The Osbournes Podcast is officially back on September 12 – and will feature celebrity guests

Speaking on his Ozzy Speaks SiriusXM channel, he told listeners: ‘When I had the blood clots in my legs, they put a filter in your artery to stop the blood clots going to your heart and your brain. It sounds worse than it is. So, on Monday I went to have it removed.

‘The blood clots have jammed you all up. It’s just disappointment after disappointment. Just get this thing f***ing done so I can go get on with my life.’

Ozzy admitted he was in ‘constant pain’ and added: ‘I feel like a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest. The only thing I’ve got that keeps me going is making records. But I can’t do that forever.

‘I gotta get out there. I’m still in constant pain. I do the best I can to stay away from the pain medication.’

The Osbournes Podcast launches on Tuesday, September 12 on YouTube, Apple, Spotify, Google Play, and Stitcher.
