Jeremy Clarkson’s new farm arrivals after sparking fears he was selling up
Richard Hammond on Jeremy Clarkson’s love of farming
Jeremy Clarkson has shared a snap of two tiny spotted piglets on his Oxfordshire farm – even if he’s admitted they could be destined for the slaughterhouse in the end.
The Grand Tour presenter, 63, proudly declared the new arrivals “Diddly Piggleberries” in a post on his farm shop’s Instagram account, which boasts 1.4 million followers.
Some fans quipped “Brown sauce!” and made jokes about bacon, while others sorrowfully exclaimed: “Every time I see cuteness like that I am a step closer to giving up meat.”
The piglets were born back in August and have grown considerably in the short space of time since then.
Jeremy’s update comes just months after he admitted the guilt about turning his baby animals into meat had been giving him sleepless nights.

Discussing the dilemma in a Sunday Times column, he admitted it hadn’t been easy when he recently took “seven healthy pigs” out of Diddly Squat woodland and surrendered them to someone who’d take them to their death.
“I can never sleep properly the night before they go, and all the way to the slaughterhouse I have what feels like a hot cricket ball in the pit of my stomach,” he admitted.
“Then when it’s finally time to say goodbye, I always become a little bit unmanly.
“I know that I’m trying to be a farmer and that this is what farmers do. And I know I will enjoy the bacon and ham and pork chops that result,” he confessed, adding that he still feels guilt.

Meanwhile, the Top Gear star turned farmer, who lives at Diddly Squat with his girlfriend Lisa Hogan, recently also discussed his thoughts about selling his farm.
Profit margins have been tough, and he’s even claimed that in the farm’s first year, he made just £114 in profit.
He’s been at the mercy of unexpected weather conditions, ending up with a poor supply of wheat this year, which is not good news for his Hawkstone Lager brand.
He was also forced to issue a warning to customers that drinks they’d purchased could explode due to over-fermentation, amid various woes with officials over the likes of planning permission.
In another column for the aforementioned publication, the frustrated star exclaimed: “I could sell the farm and earn far more from the interest than I do from growing bread and beer and vegetable oil.”
He ultimately decided against giving it up, and is leaving it to family in the future instead, as there are “no death duties on farmland”.
Meanwhile, Jeremy has recently been stuck at a luxury camp in Botswana – complete with a fridge stocked with his Hawkstone lager – after his BA flight was cancelled.
He posted regular Instagram updates joking about what a “terrible” time he was having, including one of a meerkat surveying a sunset.
Yesterday, the star – who had been filming episodes of The Grand Tour at the African location – chuckled: “James May has built a rudimentary shelter and we will cower here until BA get their act together. Pray for us.”
