Michael Bublé to become face of Asdas Christmas campaign
Michael Bublé is set to star in Asda’s upcoming Christmas campaign, according to reports. The Haven’t Met You Yet singer, who is known across the globe for his festive songs, is allegedly set to star in a series of Christmas adverts for the supermarket chain.
According toThe Sun, 48-year-old Michael will appear as a checkout worker in the festive ads and he is also tipped to sing in the campaign, too.
“The Christmas telly ad market has ballooned. Everyone wants to have the best in the game,” a source told the publication. “It’s hard to see anyone topping getting Buble singing in an Asda uniform. It’s a brilliant idea.”
With songs from Christmas adverts often going on to dominate the charts, the TV insider added that Michael could have another hit following the campaign.
“Every year his versions of the classics are in the charts, so don’t bet against another hit,” they said.

Over the years, Christmas adverts have become a big part of the seasonal calendar, with brands such asJohn Lewis, Sainsbury’s andMcDonald’s using their campaigns to raise festive cheer and, on occasion, raise awareness of different topics.
The allegations surrounding Asda’s Christmas campaign comes after Michael opened up earlier this year abouthow his eldest son’s cancer diagnosis “changed me in a big way” and “changed what mattered to me”.
The Canadian singer’s son Noah was diagnosed with cancer when he was three years old in November 2016 and, after receiving treatment, was given the all-clear the following year.
Speaking toRed magazine about how his son’s diagnosis affected him, Michael said: “That, of course, changed me in a big way – it changed what mattered to me, it changed how I saw life.
“For most of my life as an entertainer and, especially on stage, I’d become my alter ego.
“I’d become the superhero I always wanted to be. Then my wife and I went through this unthinkable thing, and I lost that alter ego.”
Meanwhile back in 2022, Michael opened up to OK! abouthow his son’s diagnosis had affected his music while promoting his album Higher.
“More than anything, I was really inspired to create. I’ve been through a lot, obviously. When I made the last record [in 2018], my son had just been in remission and I wasn’t ready to come back,” he said.
“But I feel really good now and I was raring to go – like this great weight had been lifted off me. My son was healthy, my kids and my wife were good, life is good. Why wouldn’t I just explode wanting to make an incredible record?”
