Russell Brand Now Under Investigation For ANOTHER Alleged Sexual Assault – This One From 2003?!
The hits (allegedly) keep on coming for Russell Brand.
As you’ll recall, after the shocking allegations of rape, sexual assault, and abuse against him made by four women in a bombshell exposé published over the weekend, further reports quickly surfaced that more potential claims may soon follow. And now, it seems like we could be at that point.
According to People, the London Metropolitan Police Department released a statement on Tuesday indicating they are now investigating a two decade-old sexual assault claim against the comedian. In the statement, police said the alleged incident took place in 2003 in the Soho area of central London, noting:
“On Sunday, 17 September, the Met received a report of a sexual assault which was alleged to have taken place in Soho in central London in 2003. Officers are in contact with the woman and will be providing her with support.”
The statement went on to add:
“We first spoke with The Sunday Times on Saturday, 16 September and have since made further approaches to The Sunday Times and Channel 4 to ensure that anyone who believes they have been the victim of a sexual offence is aware of how to report this to the police.”
Cryptically, the statement concluded:
“We continue to encourage anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a sexual offence, no matter how long ago it was, to contact us.”
Whoa…
Obviously, quite a bit has been coming out about Brand’s past in recent days. Both unsettling on-camera incidents and off-camera allegations have resurfaced as social media users have recoiled in shock. And now, this new (old) report…
