Ryan Reynolds rare insight into how he and Blake Lively raise their children
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively share four children under ten-years-old, making for a very chaotic household.
Married in 2012, they have since welcomed James, eight, Inez, seven, and Betty, four, plus a fourth child whose name of sex has yet to be revealed, born in February.
The Hollywood couple remain pretty private when it comes to their family life, but Ryan has shared a rare insight into how he makes sure they prioritize their mental health and wellness.
Speaking to People at the Bring Change to Mind Revels & Revelations 11 event, he said: “I think it’s more about talking to them about everything.
“It’s genuine when I say I take a huge interest in their days and how things are going.”

The Hollywood heartthrob also stressed the importance of “self-awareness” to their children, whom they actively keep out of the celebrity spotlight.
He explained: “For me, the best time of my day is walking them to school and walking them back.
“I think as parents, we are so much better equipped to handle the rigors of childhood through our kids now than when I was a kid. It’s just totally different now.

“People are much more self-aware. And that’s the thing we sort of hang our hat on the most is self-awareness with our kids. Not be happy, not be anything, just be self-aware and welcome everything in.”
Soon after welcoming their fourth child, Reynolds shared how he and Blake were settling into a family of six.
Speaking to CNBC’s Power Lunch he said: “We’re very excited. Look, we wouldn’t do this four times if we didn’t love it.
“Everybody’s doing great. Everybody’s actually doing fantastic. I think if we hadn’t figured it out by now, I think we’d be in deep, deep trouble.”
The Deadpool star went on to quip that the couple’s house resembles a “zoo” due to the busy household.
He added: “It’s a zoo over here. This is my office here and to be honest I’ll probably spend the rest of my life in here!”
