Rylan Clark begs fans for help with mum Lindas surgery amid NHS chaos after horror fall
Rylan Clark has asked for help from fans as he struggles to get his mum Linda, 73, booked in for her next surgery after she suffered a nasty fall on holiday.
The mum and son duo, who are incredibly close, had been enjoying a holiday abroad after 10 years not travelling anywhere together, when the accident happened.
Unfortunately, due to Linda dealing with Crohn's Disease, it meant her condition was a lot worse.
The former Strictly Comes Dancing: It Takes Two presenter, 34, has been updating fans and friends on the situation in recent days, as Linda was rushed into hospital abroad.
Now the pair are finally back in the UK, but the concerned son continues to worry about his mum and what's to come.
Sharing his latest update on Twitter, Rylan explained: "My mum has been home 4 days, tried to book her in private (because luckily I can afford that) for her arm and leg.
"Won’t take her because surgery wasn’t done by them, since Friday have been waiting for the NHS hospital to come back to me, have been number 76 in the Queue since this morning finally get through to be told they haven’t received her referral (which they have).
The star continued on to say he knows the "NHS is on its knees at the minute," but was left frustrated with the situation.
"What on earth would she do without family around her," Rylan grumbled.
The star went on to say that he'd been told there was "nothing else" the GP surgery could do to help his mum, who has a number of health issues.
And while they have been "great" throughout the process, Linda is stuck in two casts and needs her stitches and staples removed this week.
After that, Rylan's mum can begin her physiotherapy to hopefully recover fully.
"At a loose end here, any advice from doctors/nurses on here would be great thanks x," an exasperated Rylan added.
It comes as radio and This Morning star Rylan was forced to pay for a private plane to bring his mum back to the UK for further treatment.
Joking about the funds he had to shell out to look after Linda, the fan-favourite TV host shared a sweet snap of her on Instagram.
"She might have broke an arm and a leg but she’s cost me an arm and a leg! LINDAS COMING HOME!!" he said.
"Massive thank you to the amazing team and surgeons at @helicopterossanitarios . Thanks for looking after my mum x," he added.
