Shirley Ballas ’emotional’ after Angela Rippon tops Strictly leaderboard

Shirley Ballas recalled when Angela Rippon introduced her at the United Kingdom Championships as she praised the broadcaster’s “emotional” performance tonight on Strictly Come Dancing.

She shared: “I’m getting rather emotional” as I remember when you introduced me on the United Kingdom championships and I’m witnessing the most spectacular dance simple in content and 150% executed with 150% Angela Rippon.

“Amazing job,” she added.

Angela topped the leadership board with her incredible performance to Shirley Bassey’s Get This Party Started alongside her professional partner Kai Widdington.
