Stacey Solomon defended by fans over Pickle Cottage Christmas decorations
Stacey Solomon decorates shed for Christmas
Stacey Solomon has divided fans with her latest festive-themed DIY project.
Throughout November, the Loose Women star has been uploading step-by-step videos to her social media to show fans that Christmas decorating doesn’t have to break the bank.
In her latest Instagram update, shared with her 5.8 million followers, Stacey, 34, brought her projects together to create an impressive Yuletide display.
In a quick clip posted to her feed, the front door of her home was decked out in red and gold foliage and featured handmade Nutcracker statues and giant baubles.
Two Santa Clause figures and an archway of smaller baubles could also be seen in the video.

Explaining her amazing decorations, Stacey wrote: “The Nutcracker Christmas Door 2023. Done.
“Neil and Norman (I made Neil a nutcracker friend) Pride of place guarding pickle cottage. The bells I think bring a lovely flash of gold but I’ll be honest your initial reviews were probably right.”
She added that her display had taken her “weeks to achieve” and that she was “so proud” of hand-making her festive celebrations.
However, the former X Factor contestant has seen some adverse reactions from her followers.
In the comments section of Stacey’s video, one Instagram user wrote: “Stacy!! A trifle overstated … just saying.”
A second said: “Why does the nutcracker on the right look like Bob Hoskins?”
Another replied: “Perhaps you could make something lovely for the lady who’s struggling?”
“Those bells are creepy lol,” said a fourth.
However, many of Stacey’s fans have also rushed to the comments section to praise the star for her efforts.
One said: “How I’ll be decorating when I finally have my own house! You do Christmas right, Stacey.”
“Wow WOW. I just love it. Bells included,” replied a second. (sic)
Another said: “(sic) Wow! You’ve done it again Stacey! Absolutely beautiful when can we come for tea and meet Santa?”

A fourth supported Stacey’s creative direction and said: “Really fab! A lot of people (inc me!) could look at this and say ‘Oh well she has the money to get someone in to get this Christmas look’ but you made it!
“And looking at your reels it’s relatively easy !! thanks for sharing how you make the things! The soldiers are fab! The whole thing looks fabulous!” (sic)
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that the mum-of-five has received negative comments on social media regarding her Christmas projects.
Earlier this month, Stacey posted a video to her Instagram profile showing how she transformed some disused buckets, guttering and pipe insulation into Nutcrackers.
Underneath the video, one user said: “It’s a bit s***. But I love you regardless.” (sic)
A second commented: “I love this….. But I can’t unsee him looking like the Pringle man on the tube of Pringles.”
However, many fans also went on to call the presenter a “genius” while others claimed she was “one of a kind” for coming up with her DIY designs.
