Strictly Come Dancing’s Ellie Leach has opened up about her heartbreak after she claims she was cheated on by her ex-boyfriend.
The Coronation Street actress, who is paired with Vito Coppola, split up with her partner Reagan Pettman earlier this year after five years together.
Speaking to The Mirror, Ellie has now broken her silence and said that she joined Strictly at the “perfect time”.
“Being cheated on was upsetting, but now’s the perfect time to put my all into Strictly and give that 500 per cent,” she said.
She first got together with dancer Reagan back in 2018 but it was reported in May that the pair had called it quits. Three months later it was claimed he had cheated on her.

This is the first time that Ellie has spoken publically about the split, while also touching upon her lack of self-confidence.
Ellie added: “Self-confidence is something I’ve always struggled with.
“As an actor, people don’t see that – they think you’re this confident person and you can do anything.
“I’m hoping Strictly will bring that for me, push me and make me realise I’m capable of things.”
Ellie has been in Coronation Street since 2011, playing the role of Faye Windass.

She left the soap earlier this year and marked her exit with a touching Instagram post.
Ellie captioned it: “And just like that, 12 years at @coronationstreet has come to end!
“At nine years old I could have never imagined how much this show would change my life. I have worked with some of the most incredible people and have learnt so much over the years that I will continue to hold onto for the rest of my life.
“Everyone says we’re like a family at Corrie and we really are. From the cast to the crew, make-up, costume, everyone in front of the camera and behind the cameras are what makes this show so special and I’m eternally grateful to have played a tiny part in that.
“I am so unbelievably overwhelmed with the amount of kind comments that everyone has had about Faye over the years and how many well wishes I’ve had since announcing that I’ll be leaving and I just can’t thank you all enough for the support that everyone has given me.”(sic)
Strictly Come Dancing resumes on BBC One at 7.15pm.
