Tamzin Outhwaite says shaman cured her of miscarriage heartbreak after losing ‘many babies’
Actress Tamzin Outhwaite, 52, has spoken out about needing a shaman to cure her miscarriage agony after the traumatised star addressed how she lost 'many babies.'
Tamzin, who is mum to Florence, 15, and Marnie, 11, with her former husband actor Tom Ellis, has set up We Free Women to offer retreats to others who might be struggling, too. She talked about how she used her trauma and pain in some of her grittier acting roles in Eastenders and police drama The Tower.
The not-for-profit organisation offers treatment, space away and a listening ear for others who need similar support.
Speaking to the MailOnline about her trauma healing treatment at the Preidlhof spa retreat in Italy's South Tyrol earlier this year, she addressed how "life changing" it was for both her, and others. She said: "It was transformative. I had a trauma healing session with a shaman who didn’t know anything about my baby losses. But he held his hands over my womb and I apologised for falling asleep.
"But he said, 'You weren’t asleep, you were shaking all the way through.' I felt like there was a huge shift. It cleared something. I was a different person – I was pre-baby or getting over having a baby or having had a miscarriage. There was a big chunk of time where, hormonally, I wasn’t myself. I’m still on the road to self-discovery but I’m in a much better place."
She also mentioned that it helped her deal with other issues from her past too including the painful split from her ex husband, Tom in 2006.
The EastEnders star has claimed she’s uncovering "more infidelities and lies that he committed", and took to Twitter earlier this year to share the allegations.
In the now deleted tweet, she said: "Ten years since the father of my kids walked out on us for the final time. I still meet new people on jobs who reveal more infidelities and lies that he committed.
"But thankfully my heart and soul are clear and clean and I could not be happier right now."
OK! has reached out to Tom's representatives for comment.
Tamzin has now been happily dating her new man Tom Childs, 32, for four years after a chance meeting at a yoga class.
And although younger than the actress, she has praised him for making her life better and hit back at those insisting she must be having a midlife crisis, adding that he's very good for her "mental and physical health."
