This Morning viewers claim Holly Willoughby’s exit ‘marks end of the show’
Holly Willoughby quits ITV’s This Morning after 14 years
Holly Willoughby has stepped down from her hosting duties on This Morning after 14 years, just months after her former co-host Phillip Schofield sensationally quit.
Many ITV viewers are now taking to social media to claim that the daytime show could be at an end following Holly’s departure.
One person who posted on X, formally known as Twitter, said: “Surely this marks the end of the show?”
A second viewer typed: “Now that Holly Willoughby has left the stage, now is the time for This Morning to be wrapped up as a TV show…”
A third penned: “ITV will probably use this to axe the show. Prior to the Schofield scandal the last time people talked about it was in the Richard and Judy era and that was going on 30 years ago!”

This Morning has been running for over 35 years on ITV, making it one of the longest-running British daytime programmes.
Holly started her position in 2009 and fronted the show alongside her former co-host Phillip Schofield until his departure earlier this year.
Phillip dramatically quit This Morning in May after he admitted to having an affair with a younger colleague.
Meanwhile, Holly continued to stay at the ITV show until she announced her exit this afternoon.
This Morning has experienced a difficult year with the Phillip Schofield scandal and being snubbed at the National Television Awards.

Holly concluded: “Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family. I will miss you all so much. Holly.”
